When you talk to DevSkillFirst, you're talking to a senior engineer — not a sales lead who hands your brief down a chain of account managers and junior subcontractors once the contract is signed. That distinction matters more than it sounds: most of the gap between "looked great in the proposal" and "works in production" opens up exactly where that chain breaks down.
We'd rather scope a project honestly than win it by promising more than we can deliver. If a timeline is unrealistic, we say so before anything is signed, not two sprints in. If a feature you've asked for is expensive relative to the value it returns, we'll tell you and suggest a cheaper way to get the same outcome. A shorter, accurate estimate is worth more to both of us than a longer, comfortable one.
The tools available to us change fast right now — new model releases, agent frameworks, edge runtimes, a faster way to ship almost every quarter. We stay close to that by testing new tools against real problems, not by reading about them. But "new" and "ready for your product" are different bars. What actually reaches your codebase has already been checked against that second one.
